Warranty and Return

1.     products return for warranty determination

Simerlab products are warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year from the date of purchase. Within this period, we will, at our sole discretion, repair or replace any components that fail in normal use. Such repairs or replacements will be made at no charge to you for parts and/or labor, provided that you shall provide the related info and documents according to below:

1.      Contact the salesman who you contacted, prior to returning any product to receive an RMA form and RMA No. , complete the RMA form and send it back to the salesman.

2.      Send back the defective items in their original packaging and include all accessories and documentation, especially the quality guarantee sticker.   We reserve the right to charge for any damage to the product, and missing part fees may apply. Any damage or subsequent failure of the hardware product related to inappropriate packaging will result in additional charges for the repair of the product.

3.      Upon receipt, Cogidea will test the product according to the description of the problem listed on the RMA request form. After CogIdea’s evaluation, Warranty or Out-of-Warranty status will be determined.

1)If the description of the problem is the same as listed on the RMA request form, the product will be repaired under warranty at no charge and shipped back to the customer. If the defective items were returned to us within 60 days after shipment, the customer only bears the freight to send back the items. Cogidea will bear the freight fee for re-send.                                                               if the return were after 60 days from shipment and within a 1-year warranty, the customer should bear any freight forth and back.

2)If the description of the problem is different from the problem listed on the RMA request form, or damaged from delivery, we will contact the customer. If the product has no identifiable problem we reserve the right to charge for testing and return delivery.

 Replacement products may be new or refurbished at our discretion. Warranty repairs do not extend the original warranty period.

2.     Products return for “Non-warranty “determination

For the returned product over a 1-year warranty, we will charge a fee according to amend requirement, the return way is as follow:

1. Contact the salesman who you contacted, prior to returning any product to receive an RMA form and RMA No. , complete the RMA form and send it back to the salesman.

 And customer must issue a written confirmation to proceed with the repair(s), agree to cover the costs of the repair, and return freight。

2. Please take care to package your return carefully. Cogidea is not responsible for damage or a lost product(s) caused by shipping. We recommend that you use a traceable method of shipping for your protection. Any damage or subsequent failure of the hardware product related to inappropriate packaging will result in additional charges for the repair of the product.

3. Upon receipt of the defect item, Repair work is warranted for ninety (30) days from the date of receiving the fee for amendment. The customer will bear the freight back and forth.

This warranty does not apply to:

(i) common damage, such as scratches, nicks, stains, and dents;

(ii) consumable parts, such as batteries, unless product damage has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship;
(iii) damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, water (in excess of specifications), flood, fire, or other acts of nature or external causes;
(iv) damage caused by service performed by anyone who is not an authorized service provider of Simerlab;
